Woke up ard...12+ or 1...can't really recall...all i know was tt i was bombarded with missed calls...from Meep and Terence...instant wave of panic...i din confirm who i was meeting...so i concluded tt i'd better meet Terence since meeting Meep would mean she has to wait for me like another hr more b4 i'd arrive...as a result...i'm pretty sure she'd get mad at me...all i can hope...is tt you'll understand...i won't apologize anymore...you told me once tt to apologize too many times, would mean i'm not being sincere...
Ate lunch and waited for Terence to come b4 showering...took 67 to CCAB again to accompany Terence to watch his volleyball matches...was almost late for work...thank goodness he agreed to take a cab down so tt i'll be on time by 5...
Setted up the things required for the function...started at 5.30...things were pretty smooth...gosh...i was handling almost everything! Took order for a table of 15 even...wooo...the best part came towards the ending...
Guest from function: Do you sell cigarettes?
Me: Yes we do Sir, you can get it at the bar.
Guest: Can you get me a packet then?
Me: I'm sorry Sir, but this is a restaurant, its of a different section from the Bar.
Guest: I'll pay for the cigarettes.
Me: I'm a waiter, and this is the Restaurant section, please get your cigarette from the Bar downstairs.
LMAO...Vic and Raj, both the only full-time waiters in the Restaurant, were ard and they were applauding me man...its like...HELLO...i'm a waiter...yes...i serve u...ONLY food and drinks damn it...i'm not a SERVANT...I could've been more sacarstic...the look on his face was worth a million bucks...
On a brighter side...a few guests from the function side noted and complimented on my nails (which are painted black in case u're not aware)...haha...was expecting them to complain actually...one of em also kept coming back to me for her drink, which was vodka/sprite...wen the function was over, she gave me a personal tip of ten bucks!
She saw Raj too, who was the bar-tender, and she went, "Oh, here's a lil smth for u too!"
Haha...so he received ten bucks as well...
Its the 1st time i've heard an organizer asking us to stop refilling food...haha...weird...she was complimenting on how good we were...gosh...its like it was SO darn slack...it was supposed to be a function for 60, but only abt 40 came? Goody...haha...a-la-carte/ dinner side was ok too...packed lots of food...leftovers from the function...yummy...
Waited for Terence b4 going home together...he left his job...some argument with a frigging petty staff...guess itz becoz tt staff had seniority, having worked there for a couple of years...well...dragging lots of ppl to work with me...haha...1st there's jocelyn, who has left, then now Jia Ling...May Ann and Terence are prob gonna be next...haha...good!
Ttz abt it...i pray my day will be better...God bless ya all...
