Went down to church with my two bro's...the REAL one...Joseph and my close one, Issac Lu...Took a cab while my dad headed down to Dhoby Gaut to take his sleeping bag...he's joining us for camp!!!
Reached church and set about preparing all the undone stuff...realized that the invoice was at home...got my dad to go home and get it for me...gosh...he was already at Dhoby Gaut...and he willingly travelled all the way home to Tampines to help me get the invoice!
Love him to bits...ah well...like my Mei said..."He's your dad after all what..."
Lol...and to think that a few moments ago i was pissed with him for sounding so negative and all...ah well...
Went down to Tiong Bahru to purchase Mac Lunch for the camp com...lol...then wen i entered the train station to head back, Mei called me and asked if i could get nuggets for her...ok loh...since i use HYBRID concession, wahahaha, no big deal...yup...wen i entered the Macs again, saw my bro and his grp there...lol...gosh...to think i din see them earlier on...ah well...so rushed back to church with the food...hungry man...yeah...
Once they were all back...started to activate the GLs to lead in some small ice breakers...then...wen the bus came, made them do the Oei-ing for me b4 i let them off...lol...its like...wow...this is smth that u wun expect to see coming from a youth camp...but hey...its time for a revival...a time for a change...the youths shall be set aflame.
Amen.
Bus journey was uneventful...hmmm...reached the site...proceeded to get them to bunk in and then gather back downstairs...realised most or rather, ALL of the logistic items that were needed were not there...Daryl's at training so he can't help and Jordan din know whats going on, so...ah well...
My bad...coz i din follow up on this with them...lol...but its ok...as long as me and Mei kept calm and composed, things will still get done...so...started off with the cup games...haha...it was mad i tell ya...played it twice...one row flipping the cup upwards, the other having to make sure it remains down...the chaos that ensued for the next few minutes was hilarious...
Thank goodness Ah Bao was there to capture it all on film...next up was the BABY game...haha...
For this game, one side will be the male while the other the female...the female has to go up to the male and ask him in as hilarious or seductive a manner this, "BABY BABY, i LOVE you...will you smile for me PLEEEAAAESE?"
The male has to reply in a no nosense tone if possible and WITHOUT smiling, "BABY, i LOVE you, but i won't SMILE for you."
It was madness i tell ya...haha...well...the next game would be captain's ball...managed to borrow a basketball from the basketballers who were training nearby...yup...so....played an all out game...haha...pretty fun...juz that some people disappeared when it wasn't their turn...super discouraging...but hey...i can take it...
Next up...Line Catching!
Haha...in this game, one team would be the catchers while the rest the victims...the catchers are entitled to run on two set of lines while the victims can only run on one...pandemonium broke lose...to make things more interesting, well...i added a few ammendments...one was that that the catchers would be the GLs who could only catch their group members...the other would be that they could catch their GLs but only by linking up...lol... OH YEAH!!!
The group names of the camp were super cool...
Eta, Zeta, Lambda, Kappa, Sigma and Theta...gosh...all Greek numbers...lol...i LOVE the name Lambda...not because of the grp...but because of its relevance to an Anime show that i watch, "Full Metal Panic"!
Darn great anime i tell ya...hmmm...after that was washing up and then dinner...haha...theeen...yeah...worship followed by message...first up to lead worshup for the camp was Julia...her 1st time...but it was beautiful...and of course...she had the ever cute Lala to help her...and Wilson...the prodigal guitarist? All with lots of potential i tell ya...ah...With the worship and the message...at the end...people were moved to tears...of course...emotions is one thing...but then...the Word of God really struck me and will now be STUCK on me...do YOU know Jesus...
